The use of colors for album titles is not a new idea, white, red and blue already existed with the Beatles, the legendary black album by Prince, which was withdrawn by Prince a good week before the official release. As a result, the album was immediately canceled, but since it was already in the process of being delivered, a few copies survived and Lovesexy was released as a replacement as the 10th studio album. It should be noted that each track on the album had the same running time, so there was no information about how long each track or the total running time was. Incidentally, the Black Album was released many years later as the 16th studio album.
Christian chose this title because it describes a time in his life when he was hit by a lot of things that weren’t really great.
